Maybe your right, but it still didn't deterent to much enjoyment from me. Falling in love in hours and then getting kidnapped is the norm for allmost every peice of childrens media these days, you can't single this game out for that. Even then, it's still that silly. That's different. The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings was written like that to begin with for older readers. It created a new genre of fantasy stories. This is a children's game about a talking hedgehog who can run fast and beats a fat man. Why make a mature story out of that? Why suck out the fun out of the character like that? What you're basically doing is trying to compare an apple to an orange. They're both very different. Again, there's a difference between advances in technology and design choices. Just because you can do a lot with technology now doesn't mean you should go that drastic route. I mean, if the humans are going to look more realistic, why not do the same to Sonic and friends? Should the same be done to the human characters in Looney Tunes? Will that work well in comparison to the other characters? Nah, it just slows down the game, as well as add in unneccesary plot elements. Just look at Sonic in that game compared to any other game. His legs are far to long compared to his game appearance before and after. He had an instant growth spurt, then shrunk later on.

"Silver better in later games"Can't say anything about that - I can't play Sonic Rivals, don't have a PSP. Don't. That game sucks. I hate the rival games. Especialyl the rival fights are stupid, you just randomly bash buttons and pray that it's your character that randomly was the one who landed the punch. As for Silver, i didn't notice any specific changes in his personality. Despite the plotholes and contuity problems with Sonic 2006's plot being erased and the complete confusion in where and how Silver and especially Blaze fit in the Sonic universe.... not to mention I'm still confused what the hell is with Eggman Nega. I can't even call him a carbon evil twin with no personality because calling him a evil twin is even too much information for what background or purpose we know from him. "Silver better in later games"For me, at the time, this was THE second(?)-best Sonic game I had ever played up to that point, I had basically waited 3 years for a game reminescent of "Sonic Adventure 2" - and I even bought an Xbox 360 for ~300 bucks only so I could play this game. And even looking back, this game sparks only positive images in my mind. That story reminds me of me and Sonic Adventure. I tought the game was perfect. It was awesome. It was my dream. I hunted for screenshots for years, dreaming about teh dreamcast and Sonic that were so far away from my grasp. The day I got my hands on it and played it, it was amazing. And now, years later, I read recviews that the game was buggy like hell, and I didn't remember any glitches. So I replayed the game..The DX version nonetheless, and found some levels indeed unplayeble. Love makes you blind, which is why I never do parodies on games I love. Plus back when Sonic adventure came out, I never really played a 3d platform game before in my life, before a few glimpses at Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot, so it was my first jump into the magic world of 3d action games (I remember I was super amazed that the grass textures of teh game actually looked like grass, instead of just green smudges like most games at the time) Many games that are on my list of best games ever are in fact universally hated and very buggy, but sometimes they just have that ONE thing I am looking for in games, that manner, that sound, that whatever. That magical spark. For example, I love True crime, New York City for the gamecube a lot. Sure, there's a lot of glitches and weird things going on, but the enjoyment of tossing thugs into a car with satisfying glass breaking sounds, punch people from motorcycles and have levels filled with machinery and traps you can shoot to indirectly kill bad guys, not to mention a lot of sweet punch and kick moves, unlike Grand Theft Auto where battles are a lot more static and "just shoot everyone" ish, I gladly take the occasionaly crashing game. As for Sonic 2006, didn't play it much, only watched a pal playing it. I laughed out loud during a snowboard level with cool rock music playing, Sonic going "WOOOH!! AWESOME! YEAH!!!" , while Sonic himself just slowly stumbled from one glitch to the next bad collision detection. Hilarious. it's like saying "The Lord of the Rings" can't be serious because it's got Hobbits in it. Hah, yeah, that'd be silly. I'd never stop taking Lord of the rings seriously just because it has Hobbits. I'm way to busy face palming about the stupidity and uselessness of the villains and all the main characters stumbling from one obvious trap into the next untill they're saved by random Deus Ex Machina, that's making me think the Lord of the Rings and especially The Hobbit saga are one big joke.

I guess, to be honest, if you're a younger fan and accept these kind of flaws,, well, I understand you'd like the game and try defending it from any attack. But doesn't change the fact that it's very slow, had "mach speed" sections to hide that part which weren't correctly impletended, was rushed in development (since the team started working on Unleashed at the same time), Yuji Naka quitted during the development and is simply super-emo. those are facts! Plus why didn't they call it simply Sonic 2006?!? For comparison, imagine Secret Rings or Black Knight were called that way too and would have been the 15th anniversary game...See? Annoying, adds a sort of spotlight and importance for those spinoffs, well, 2006 didn't deserve it either! And the artstyle was ugly, realistic Eggman was sort of fun IF over the top! Elise looked quite off, look at Sonic Team's usual art style with Sharaa (how'd'you write her name?), Maria or that other girl in Black Knight. Elise seems to be out from a Final Fantasy or something. Sonic changed in Adventure 1 (since the artwork from Sonic R Japanese actually! ) and evolved a bit everytime, but STAYED cartoony! Take a look at Billy Hatcher, and then any post-SA1 Sonic. Fun, colorful, cartoony and could be used next to each other. Sonic 2006? Long-legged, serious, monotone color tones... And they were so poorly animated in the story cutscenes... agh.. But like I said, I understand you'd like the game and defend it. At least you have a fresh look at things.~

I don't think SA1 was "just as glitchy" as 2006, to be honest. And the "nostalgia critic" effect really doesn't apply if it's just a really honestly poorly made game. I'm not criticizing the story or one's ability to have fun with it, I'm just saying that they should have done a better job at making it playable. I could finish SA1 in its entirety, I probably still can today. 2006... okay in all honesty I haven't tried it as much, but... well... I think my friend Blaze puts it better... www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MWEHwvcnyM

How did I know in advance that was the only part of the post you were going to address? With "not as much" I mean not as much as SA1, and also I haven't finished it. But think I've played it enough to be able to form a valid opinion on it, at least. While SA1 surely isn't without its flaws, and it might not look as pretty, personally I just find it the funner, more playable game of the two.

Final Fantasy 7 had more explosions then one Michael Bay movie, now with that obvious joke out of the way, really funny video there Roger, had me chuckling a lot. It was simple but yet amusing the only negative may not be caused by you but some reason your video replays some of the ending scenes but with a strange static sound, not exactly sure what that is.
Also on a side note that may not be important but just to be a complete nerd... how in the heck did Red/Nanaki have kids?! 0_o I mean there literally wasn't any other of his kind around far as I heard and saw but yet he has kids... they must be hiding them in the underground or something for fear of the females dying out due to needless things XD

I have no idea what's up with the static. I've been edeting the video and reuploading it for hours now. The worse part is that Blip knows the movie is 2 minutes and 40 seconds, and sais so right on the panel, but the movie keeps playing trough a minute of phantom stuff. It's definitly not in the source file.
I have only one option left, and if that doesn't work... Urr, I think I'll use youtube in the future instead. Blip never paid me any money anyway.
Good question about Red. Maybe they created the kids in a lab? Kinda reminds me of bible stories where Adam and Eve have 2 sons...and then humanity died out? Or they made their mother pregnant again? Yay, godly incest.

You get paid when you have about $25 or more per week, or something like that. They don't give you cash less than that amount.

What if I saved up to 25? Or does all the money i earn under 25 dollars just vaporize?
Anyway, quality is gone worse, but it seems I solved the phantom minute problem...Kinda..
Now there's suddenly 20 seconds of black screen and a explosion sound that isn't supposed to be there..altough I guess thati sn't tooo bad.

Heh, "Explosive Fantasy 7". I especially liked the part where the peacefull facility in the soothing surroundings of nature EXPLODES. : P
Of course I never played any Final Fantasy game asides from FF Tactics Advance for GBA, so some of the jokes made on the plot are lost for me.
(FF Tactis Advance in a nutshell - "This whole world isn't real! Even though all the people who live here have their own life, feelings, family and history, and we've made countless friends and allies, and people usually confined to a wheelchair can walk again here and become king, we must destroy this entire world so we can get back home to the REAL world!")
Yeah, the Blip was acting weird there When I watched the movie for the first time, it added-in an extra minute of static sounds and replaying the ending of the movie. Also, noticed near the end that below the static, it was playing a slowed-down version of the movie's audio. Though nothing happend when I watched the movie for the second time right after that. Weird, never had those problems with the Blip before o-O

I dunno, for me it's just so funny how Cloud looks when falling into teh ground randomly

Haha, indeed.
But taking out of context, now I really wonder why the village exploded.
