Well, this is similar to the topic I made about in the Movies section, but now with video games. Were there any games you wanted to play just to see a certain bit of the game, or for some reason?
There's two I can mention. For one, I want to find the original PS1 Resident Evil game. Sure, I could just get the remade Gamecube versions, but I still want the originals just so I can listen to these here gems:
I'm all for bad dubbing that has a bit of charm to it.
On a different note, I want to get my hands on a video game based on my most favourite manga series of all: Kinnikuman! Which game? The Muscle Gran Prix games (which play like Tekken but wrestling based). Now why these games especially? Well, the fanboy in me loves it when certain music play when certain match-ups are made! If a match-up between two characters from the original series squared off each other, the insert song "Miracle of Muscle Docking" plays (My favourite BGM from the series).
From Scramble for the Throne, "Zudadan! Kinnikuman!".
And for Kinnikuman Nisei (Ultimate Muscle), it's "HUSTLE MUSCLE"!
Yes! I'd buy games solely for the music most of the time~!

I love the original Resident Evil! Sure, it may have a "slighty bad" voice acting... And not look on par with current gen graphics.. But I find it a little more charming than the Remake... Call me crazy!
It's closer to B Movies and more campy horror flicks. The remake's great too, but it takes itself too seriously.. (while still using the same silly improbable over-the-top scenario)

the bad voice acting is what made it such a guilty pleasure! And besides gotta love Barry Burton man! The Chuck Norris of gaming!
Cant pick a scene..but one EPIC scene that amused me to hell was this:

I'd say playing through the entire awful horrible broken unfinished rushed Ghostbusters game for the NES is worthwile the time it will take you..
For this amazing ending:
"Conglaturation!! You have completed a Great Game-"

Haha! Well, you can get that very ending in the latest Ghostbusters game, if you inspect the arcade cabinet.
I'm now finding myself wanting to play more King of Fighters games, just because of the dialogue. RESPECTABO!
On a side note, there seems to be a problem loading up the whole thread when there's a Youtube video put in the first post. Thought I'd mention it.

I don't really see any problem..though maybe if you're using a computer with less available ram/speed/whatevah. I know about the Ghostbusters game cameo You didn't expect me to play A GHOSTBUSTERS GAME and not inspect/explore all corners of it, did ya?!~

This intro is SO powerful, I'd start this game just to watch it once. twice. And even more times.
And btw. You fight like a dairy farmer. ;D

I much prefer the old school MI intro over the remake (as fun and good as it is). It's just more incrusted into my brain Also, the original dos version not using a sound card but the motherboard sounds was pure awesomness!~

I don't hate it. To be honest, I rarely hate stuff. I tried MI4, but it really didn't work for me, even thought I liked some of the jokes. But I didn't like to control Guybrish via keyboard, even thought it worked just fine with Grim Fandango (also one of the best Adventures of all time). I also remember a lot of Game Designers talking pretty bad about traditional point n'click during the ages of MI4, perhabs it still has some bad aftertaste for me because of that. But well, I'm getting really offtopic now. ^^; I'll look out for your review, thought.

Well, I hope you'll try reading my MI4 when I'll post it.. (which will be...huh..dunno..next month probably? gotta do part3 first!) Just at least to give it a 2nd chance!
I just hate how people love to bash this game, specially on youtube vids, without either trying it (you did apparently^^) and to follow blindly a trend... I kinda prefer MI4 controls over Grim, even if Grim's a much better game. It's based on the same engine, but the little tweaks here and there make controlling Guybrush a bit better. (like the screen transitions a bit more logical and less abrupt, much better inventary system, dialogues trees better used..)

I just loved the Part at Persona 3 when the main Character was in the 25th hour for the first time and encountered his first monster. He grabs a gun, holds it to his head and whispers Per-so-na. It's not much but I really loved this part ^^
