Don't tell me this is high quality animation:
And this was an important arc! (not a filler!)
Stand stills, characters stop in place to just talk... I dunno for you, but I find the quality in modern TV animes pretty low budget...
Like I said, to each their own, but I still prefer a "filler episode" from an ol' anime to a "story centered episode" of a recent one:
I think I stopped watching animes with Bleach (because of..?), around the first filler of the "Bounts." Since then I only watch US/European animation... (and the occasional anime movie)

one of the main reasons I dont support most animes is due to budget cut animation of loads of freeze frames and flappy mouths. But that's what I support One Piece :B it doesn't attempt to be half assed, I'm astonished how much detail they try to put into each episode sometimes!

FUNimation is good like that, most of their series are well done and most of the time they don't have fillers.

To be hohnest I onlly watch Naruto and while they do take some shortcuts I think the animation is pretty decent, and Naruto is pretty much the definition of modern anime.

FUNimation is just the company who does the US voice dubbing, which more than half of the world doesn't know about/never heard of. Yep, I like to correct people about trivia~
