To be fair, stopping evil organisations has been in the games from the beginning, and God (Arceus) can't be caught in-game without cheating.
But the Contests are quite boring and useless. If they had any relevance at all to the gameplay they might be worth it (at least with the Pokéthlon you can use the points you earn to get useful items)
Of course, if you're referring to the new Pokémon Musicals, then I have no idea how they work so I can't give a proper evaluation...

I remember when Poke'mon used to be about Pocket Monsters, those were the days... Now it's all fashion shows, stopping evil Orginizations and even God himself! Where did it all go wrong!? :' ( When bullshit was getting stuffed into the game by new Gamefreak employees, I never really like the contest, even if I'm bored as helling playing and training pokemon, I still don't go to 'em.

You stopped evil orginizations in red and blue to Zody. I think I did, it's seriously hard to believe I played that game for the first time more then a decade ago now. It was an awesome part of my childhood but like most games/shows that I've been into since my child hood they've all lost their spark a little.. 'cept Mario of course :B

Well, it's come to the fact people love a game where a plumber stumbles upon some shrooms and gets high dreaming of a world with walking mushrooms, bullets with faces, a bastard on a cloud all lead by a giant turtle.

Hai guys what did i miss? 8B Just kidding i read the last few pages. Dunno why i didnt drop in till now. I still dont understand the finer details in pokemon, ev training, stats, all those fan given names. Its why i never battle online XD I'm more of a collector. Must have shinies. <3 Dunno what it is about mario that still makes him great to this day, maybe its just cause he's got a great company doing his games and marketing. His games are just so fun! I'd rather play a cellshaded colourful little mario game than those samey shooters with realistic graphics. But thats just me. Getting back on the topic of pokemon, is it just me or are there a few things in black and white that creep you the frick out. O__o Munna and his evolution are scary as hell. (i'll do a comic on that eventually). And the final boss music (as in Deeeenis), the first time i heard it I got shivers. ... and cause its pretty epic music. (you have to listen to the whole thing to see what i mean. Not that i expect anyone to since, as we have established, i am a wuss 8B) www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-ZWnYRd93g

Lolol, Eless is a wuuuss. But seriously, I like adding a bit more of a serious tone to Pokemon. There always was a serious tone. People just think it's lawl kids stuff. But all the equations and statistics that go into Pokemon, like EV training and all that make it very...non-kid like. What kid wants to do MATH?
For the longest time, I didn't really know what EV training was and didn't care, but now I do and I'll do it for competitive battles (with friends) but I'll still just grind my team for the main game. It's actually really simple when someone can explain it to you in the best way you understand things. Reading it online made no sense to me, but when my friend explained it to me, I got it right away. Really just depends.

But lets just remember for our own sakes, no matter how much time we put into it or how much math we do Pokemon IS for kids.

I don't really believe ANYTHING is just solely for kids like how nothing is really only for any other group of people. It's like saying Mature games are for adults only, and yet kids play those games all the time. You might as well say games are for kids cause kids play games.

Yeah i like the more mature tone in the game, its not too mature (like shadow the hedgehog mature, swearing and guns= sega's definition of mature) But just enough so it's an interesting story. I like the whole Green peace thing they've got going with the villains, "free the pokemon, pokemon are slaves to humans", its pretty awesome XD
People have tried to explain it to me, still dont get it. Im terrible at maths, maybe thats why. 8/ Screw that.
You know how people kept saying animation was for kids? just look at anime, or disney films (the classics not the crappy ones). A game/film/show can be enjoyed by anyone if its made well. ... Actually thats not a very good example for anime considering all the hentei and jiggly boobies and such.

These kind of games and shows may be aimed at children more so, but in essence, they're made for anybody to enjoy. After all, why're there 20 year olds like myself still playing the game, going to random events and talk about it? Anything made for kids still appeal to everybody of any age, I'll tell you that!
As for all the technical Pokemon stuff. like EV Training or terms like sweepers and tanks, they're pretty easy to understand after a while, if you bothered to invest time in finding out what they're all about. There's only a few things I don't bother with most of the time due to how long it'd take to get what you want (Ie. right nature with the right moves and the best IVs, with maybe shiny status and so on)
