Don't you just hate it when someone talks about something and you want it to end quickly? Everywhere you go, it's spreading like wild fire?
Makes you wish you could hibernate, no matter what season.
I've written up a journal on DA about it, since it wouldn't be fair here if I just typed it ALL out. I don't like treating forum threads like DA and make long journals.
Forums aren't places to rant and whine about your feelings after all.

HUman hibernation? Perhaps go to a scientific institution and ask if they want to do a scientific experiment about human hibernation, then you can get paid for sleeping, and have the greatest minds thinking of solutions on how to do it.
..Err, or is this not where the topic's about? ^^;

So... you're saying you want to skip ahead in time every time someone is boring you to death? Hm... reminds me of that movie with Adam Sandler, where he has a DVD menu remote control for real life. Though he then gets screwed up, and we all learn a valuable lesson from a movie that has the grown up main protagonist bully the neighbor's child.

Mmm... I dunno, I usually just tune it out if something bothers me... it's harder for some than others I guess, especially if it's a topic you would LIKE to talk about but can't share a personal opinion on 'cause you don't have the means to... For instance, imagine my frustration in the early 00's where everyone was talking about the Dreamcast and Sonic Adventure - I always wanted a Dreamcast, but could never afford one... I've managed with my Sega Megadrive all the way through the 16, 32 and 64-bit era, and wouldn't finally own my own new console until I was able to get me a Gamecube... Yeah. No wonder I still consider myself an avid retrogamer ^^;
But I ramble. I guess it's a bit tough to sit through, but that's how it goes, I guess. Like I said, if it's something I hate, usually I just tune it out and ignore it... if it's something I like but can't discuss (like a videogame in this case), usually I just check out magazines and videos about the topic in question so I can at least have some sort of opinion... or see who DOES have it and check it out at their place, or ask if they want to come by with it =P

I agree with Sassi, there are a LOT of things I wish I could just hibernate from. But sadly, thats life.

Unless you could literally "pause" yourself in time or something... but then you'd stay young while everyone else around you grew older, that's no fun either

Ah well. In a few months the topics blow over. But then we find something else to chat about. Its an endless cycle.

the idea of sleeping through winter is an interesting idea although we would miss out on Christmas. I really do hate waking up when its freezing cold and its still dark.
