Indeed, still - I couldn't help but think he wanted to push himself a bit with doing this special. I mean, the Pet-Monster-Review really hasn't been that exciting to me, but his next reviews sound pretty good...

I Found The Commercial special more fun than the My pet monsters Review, probably because of the funny wet banana jokes, and the critic singing a song from nightmare before christmas... lets call the song he sung "poor Critic" or maybe "Pumpkin Critic"...wow i'm wierd

yeah I think NC should do more commercial riffs, showing us Brits what Americans like him have back in the day. That peeing Doll was wrong though, why do they make dolls that pee/defecate?

Well, it's the perfect defence when mothers complain about toys being violent, I guess.
Also, it's good to see the Critic trying out different things here and there. You can only go so far if you stick with one formula and not twist it in any way.

It's best to keep those at a minimum, or else they wouldn't be anything special after a while. You can ruin something good by overusing it.

Question. Can anyone of you explain to me what they tried to achieve with Kickassia ? Because I really didn't understand it. A fight of critics. Again. On some landscape. Without a reason. Not that funny. And now he's selling it on DVD. But... just why

Well, there's the occasional Top 11, but yeah. I guess most of the variety in the site is actually the variety in reviewers and video editors themselves. Also his alternate series, I suppose. VG Confessions are usually an amusing watch.

James: The second anniversary of "ThatGuyWithTheGlasses" gave them a reason to do something big all together, so they made a feature length film. Don't know how the general reception is, but I liked the film. Had lots of funny moments. And he's selling his feature lenght film on DVD ... well, to make money! Running his website is his real actual job now, actually! He wasn't joking when he mentioned he got an article in "Entrepreneur Weekly" (or whatever the name of the magazine was), just look at some of these references en.wikipedia.org/wiki/That_Guy_with_the_Glasses#ReferencesThough you of course don't need to buy it to see the film ... so basically it is a way of supporting / helping / contributing to the site, and getting something back for it. Plus, I can imagine the costs for flying all those critics from different US states and european countries there, booking the hotel rooms, and stuff, wasn't that cheap either.

I'd buy a copy to help cover the cause, in addition it means you get it on a nice disc with a shiny box, and it's in better quality than it would be on Blip.tv, which is perfectly good for hosting videos but DVD is DVD.
