Ahrg, I can't take it anymore! I had to get braces... again! All because I was disgusted over and over again having to put a retainer in my mouth that had this nasty crap on it that wouldn't come off no matter how much cleaner stuff I put on it. It was crazy nasty and I was absolutely thrilled when I lost it, hoping to get a new one.
No D< My teeth shifted so much in such little time that I had to have braces put on my bottom eight teeth.
They're so sore! It's driving me up the wall. I was literally running through the house trying to find random objects to stuff into my mouth just so I could make a barrier between the braces and my lip. I felt like a pack rat, hahahhaa. That helped for the irritation, but then the soreness came back. Freaking Ibuprofen either works for five minutes or not at all. God dang it, Bobby.
But when aspirin didn't work, I just chewed on my wallet.
Yes, my wallet.
*om nom nom nom*
Soft, squishy leather. It felt so gooooood.
Anyway, apparently they make permanent retainers. I mean, seriously, why didn't I get that in the first place? No one ever told me there was such a thing D8 It would have been a lot less painful D| Ohhf, my poor mouth. My teeth are lucky that I love them this much. |D

Ugh, braces, Kristee, you're not alone, braces are torture, I got'em at sixteen, hated'em to death, the wires were so uncomfortable and the retainers often didn't stay in my mouth.
Just hang in there girl, blame the dentists for torturing us with nasty metal in our mouths

Sounds pretty rough. And this coming from a guy who's front teeth are all chipped. And it'll all get better soon, right?
We can blame dentists on anything? Sweet! Big bro has become my personal scapegoat now! MWU HA HA!!!

I had to wear braces too. I got my first set when I was 10, then I had them taken off and got my second set when I was 12 and had them taken off when I was 14. Both times I got them first on, it hurt so badly I couldn't stop crying. No amount of pain killers could help. I couldn't eat either, EVERYTHING was too hard (even bread). I know your pain. But think of it this way, at least your teeth won't be crooked.

SassiKittyCat:Uhg, yeah, they are torture DX But it's only this bad for like... the first few days, or so. After that, you kind of get used to it, but still. I woke up this morning and they felt better. Yeyyy. |D But last night I was trying to put some wax that they give you on the brackets. That stuff just does not work at all Seriously. I can't mold it, it doesn't stay on, it only makes my mouth feel gross. Its the last end ones that bug me the most. They make me feel like I have some huge, bulldog under bite. xD; @frobman:Ow, that sounds like it hurts : < And yeah, I only have 'em for about six months. I'll be gettin' them off before my birthday... which is good because I'll be goin' to Vegas <3. And I guess I can't blame my super amazingly hot dentist. It was my orthodontist's fault for not telling me about these permanent retainers. I woulda hit that in a heartbeat if it meant I didn't have to wear a separate retainer. D< @venatorphile:Ouch. Yeah, I remember when I got my first ones, too. Uhg, it was terrible. >< I guess since I'm older it's not so bad, but it still hurrrrrtttssss. I just want someone to punch me in the mouth and make these things go away D8 At least it isn't so bad today D8 I can kinda eat. Other than that, yeah. My mouth is worth thousands of dollars. It would be a waste if I let them go crooked XD
