Alex wants to do the metroid M parody, so it'll be a Evil Doc production again.

It's just Sonic vs Eggman. The plot is like Sonic 1's: Super simple!

Does that game even have a plot? It doesn't even have an opening cutscene! Got all emeralds but haven't beaten the final boss yet, so I don't know if there's an actual ending, though I doubt it. So... That Makes Sense....How About Sonic 4 in 4 minutes ...more like "Sonic 4 in 4 seconds". : / Not sure what those 4 seconds would even be about, since the game doesn't even establish anything. "Here's Sonic, and he's in the ... Emerald Green something zone, he runs to the right, and oh look, it's Doctor Eggman. Oh noes, battle. Lather, rinse, repeat, the end."...I think I just answered my own question XD

Isent that what you Sonic fan's have been bitching about for years, that you want no plot, dated graphics and nearlly 20 year old gameplay?

We're talking about making a parody from a super simplistic story, which isn't that easy at all.

Was there a plot in this game? (still not got the game, and probably won't for a while) I'm sure any ol' 8/16-bits game had a better story than Sonic 4!

You could say it's almost the same as in Sonic 1. All the plot you need to know is in the manual, which is little as best. All that's said about it is that it takes place directly after Sonic and Knuckles, and Eggman's starting to make big plans again and is up to no good. That's all to it, really.

Isent that what you Sonic fan's have been bitching about for years, that you want no plot, dated graphics and nearlly 20 year old gameplay? You're making the extreme mistake of generalizing the Sonic fan-base as being a unity. Sonic has altered drastically throughout the years, so while some fans want this, other fans want that, which can lead to awkward clashes between the most obsessive fans of each fraction. I personally prefer the 3D games, and story is actually the most important aspect of any Sonic game for me. Basically bought Sonic 4 to see what all the fuzz was about, and it's pretty much what I expected. To me, it's a fun small (and short) game, but nothing more. To others, it may be the holy grail - or anything inbetween. *shrug* ...All the plot you need to know is in the manual, ... The manual? Who reads those things nowadays?

I'm with you mate, I LOVE the 3D games and HATE it when people say that Sega can't make Sonic games anymore or that Sega should let him die. If they think that Sonic should die there obviously not true Sonic fans.

You guys are so divised People can love both gameplays. PLUS Sega =/= Sonic! (that's what Nintendo "kids" always say). Sega = arcade games, Virtua Fighter, Daytona Usa, Panzer Dragoon, etc..etc.. Don't generalize Sega with Sonic! And @frob: Sonic 1 plot is already more developed than that, just by the fact it came first. It's Sonic preventing Eggman from using the animals of his island to build an army, the first confrontation, etc.. Sonic 4 is a "Once more...".
